Lakeside Lodge

The Lakeside Lodge at Merribrook Retreat is a well loved area, a little like the ski lodge without the snow!

If rammed earth walls could talk, many a tale would be exchanged on the life of this delightful room, especially times shared around the roaring winter open wood fire.

The Lakeside Lodge’s day begins with a fabulous breakfast and guests relaxing at small tables by the winter open wood fire or outside on the deck, checking emails, maybe seeking local advice on their day’s activities. Sometimes that involves a hard decision between the pool, the lake or the lush gardens for lazing!

During the day guests can wander in and out, borrow a book, a DVD or enjoy a tea or coffee on the verandah or curl up in winter by the open wood fire. The Lodge provides another relaxing venue away from the privacy of your villa.

A BBQ on the verandah is popular in the evening for those who have been enthusiastic to buy local produce. The commercial kitchen is also available in the evening for your use and features a gas stove, micro wave and cooking implements.

A free local phone is availble for booking restaurants and taxis, plus wifi and a computer is offered for emails.
