So much is always happening in our wonderful Margaret River region. Here’s a taste of what’s happening over the coming months.
Margaret River Farmers Markets
Every Saturday, 8am – 12pm, 2013
The Margaret River Farmers Markets feature food and wine stalls manned by the producers themselves. A perfect opportunity to meet the growers and producers of your favourite local cuisine.
Drug Aware Margaret River Pro
2 April – 13 April 2014
The top 32 ranked male and top 18 ranked female surfers in the world will descend upon the Margaret River Region to surf its world-class waves in April. The event is expected to see thousands of spectators flock to Surfer’s Point in Prevelly to watch the world’s best surfer’s take on the famous Margaret River Mainbreak.
At least 100 visual artists and artisans are expected to open the doors to their art studios and workshops, delivering a unique experience for art lovers to meet the creator of the artwork, peruse original artworks and of course purchase artwork. Work may include painting, drawings, sculpture, hand blown glass, print making, handmade furniture, as well as jewellery, ceramics, textiles and many other media.
The annual 16-day MRROS Event launches on Easter Saturday in artists studios and workshops throughout the Capes Region.
If a venue is not open for the whole 16-day event, the day a venue is closed will be clearly identified in the Event Catalogue
For this inaugural event we anticipate over 100 Artists will open their Art Studios and Workshops across the whole of the Margaret River Wine Region.
Each open studio will be clearly identified on a detailed map in the Event Catalogue which will be available online and widely distributed in the run up to the event. Have fun planning your favourite art trail.
